Common questions

How do I log an interruption?

Open FlowBreak and tap the large action button at the bottom of the screen. The timer starts. Tap again when the interruption ends. You can optionally add a tag (Meeting, Slack, etc.), a short comment, and a recovery-time estimate.

What is the Focus Score?

A daily rating from 0 to 100 that combines how many interruptions you had, how long each one lasted, and how much recovery time they consumed. It's loosely modelled on research by Gloria Mark (UC Irvine) on the cost of context switching. Higher is better.

Does my data sync between devices?

Yes, via iCloud, using your private CloudKit database. The developer cannot see your data; Apple cannot read its contents. iCloud sync can be toggled off in Settings.

What's included in FlowBreak Pro?

FlowBreak Pro unlocks the weekly digest with AI-powered tips, advanced pattern detection (worst-day, peak-window, recovery patterns), calendar overrun tracking, custom tag colours, and the interruption cost estimator. There's a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by FlowBreak. Open the Settings app on your device → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → FlowBreak Pro. From there you can cancel, change plan, or restore on a new device. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the current billing period ends.

I bought Pro on one device. How do I get it on another?

Open FlowBreak on the new device, go to Settings → Restore Purchases. You need to be signed into the same Apple ID that made the purchase.

Can I export my data?

CSV export of all interruptions, tags, and daily metrics is available in Settings → Data. The export is unencrypted text; treat it like any other personal file.

I want to delete everything.

Settings → Data → Delete all data. This wipes the local SQLite database and queues a deletion of the iCloud copy. Once you confirm, it cannot be undone.

Refund requests

Refunds for subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled by Apple, not by FlowBreak. Apple's process is described at support.apple.com.
