Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 May 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FlowBreak ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Application. These Terms apply to all users of FlowBreak, whether accessed through the Mac App Store, iOS App Store, or any other distribution channel.
2. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use FlowBreak for personal or commercial purposes.
- The licence is granted on a per-device basis
- You may install FlowBreak on devices you own or control that share the same Apple ID
- The free tier is available indefinitely; Pro features require an active subscription or lifetime purchase
FlowBreak is proprietary software. The source code is confidential and protected by intellectual property laws. No rights to the source code are granted under this licence.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to use FlowBreak in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
You agree to:
- Use the Application only for lawful purposes
- Maintain the security of your device
- Keep backups of your data (FlowBreak stores data locally and optionally in your private iCloud container, but you are responsible for your own backups)
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application
- Redistribute, sublicence, or resell the Application
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
- Attempt to circumvent any subscription or licensing mechanisms
- Use the Application to infringe on the rights of others
4. Free Tier and Advertising
FlowBreak's core features are available free of charge. Free users see banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads are non-personalised — FlowBreak does not request the IDFA and does not pass identifiers to AdMob for cross-app tracking. You can remove all advertising by subscribing to FlowBreak Pro or purchasing the lifetime upgrade.
5. Subscription & Payment
FlowBreak Pro is an optional upgrade that adds additional features.
Payment
- All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store
- The developer never sees your payment details
Subscription terms
- Monthly ($1.99/month), annual ($14.99/year), or lifetime ($39.99 one-time)
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings
- A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers
Refund policy
- Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy
- The developer cannot issue refunds directly — all billing is managed by Apple
6. iCloud Sync
FlowBreak offers optional iCloud sync through Apple CloudKit. When enabled:
- Your interruption data and tags are stored in your private CloudKit container
- The developer has no access to your CloudKit data
- Sync operates on a last-write-wins basis — concurrent edits on different devices will resolve to the most recently updated version
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings; your local data is unaffected
Apple's privacy policy governs CloudKit data storage: apple.com/legal/privacy.
7. Apple Intelligence Features
FlowBreak uses on-device Apple Intelligence (where available) to generate optional insights such as weekly digest summaries and comment suggestions. All processing happens locally on your device — no data is sent to external AI services. These features require a device that supports Apple Intelligence and are not available on all hardware.
8. Your Data
- You retain full ownership of all interruption logs, tags, and settings you create using FlowBreak
- We claim no rights to your data
- Your data is stored locally in a SQLite database on your device, and optionally in your private iCloud container
- If you uninstall the Application, your local data is deleted; iCloud data persists until you remove it from your iCloud storage
9. Intellectual Property
The Application, including its design, code, icon, branding, and documentation, is owned by Lukasz Raczylo and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
10. Limitation of Liability
FlowBreak is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We are not liable for:
- Any loss of data, interruption logs, or settings (always maintain your own backups)
- Any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Application
- Any issues caused by iCloud sync, including data conflicts or sync delays
- Any interruptions to service or availability
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to FlowBreak if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if required by law.
You may stop using FlowBreak at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the Application. Your locally stored data remains yours and is unaffected by termination. Upon termination, your licence to use FlowBreak is revoked.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may notify you through the Application. Continued use of FlowBreak after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
